The working principle
Downhole camera system is a completely portable, self-contained video inspection system that can inspect boreholes up to 1500m deep & 40cm in diameter.
Downhole video and camera inspections are an important asset to drillers and borehole maintenance engineers. Inspection systems provide vital evidence in determining the condition of a well or borehole as well as the nature and extent of any problems. Pre and post treatment CCTV surveys are a key component of any maintenance programme as they allow operators to understand the specific areas in a well that may require attention and confirm the effectiveness of the treatment carried out. Surveys also provide an additional benchmark in the history of the well and its rehabilitation.
The working application
The instrument is suitable for engineering geology, hydrogeology, geotechnical engineering, mining and petroleum geology etc, not only can be used to detect cracks, dislocations, falling objects in the well, blockage of water filter pipe and the position of quicksand, etc. in the well wall,but also can observe bedrock fissures and development status in the bedrock area, as well as size and location of the borehole and other geological condition.
